The Shark Series 2 HP Model J840 nonautomatic Grinder Pump is designed to remove raw sewage in sewage lift stations or in low pressure sewer applications. Solids are cut into a slurry using the industry proven "scissor like" Tri-Slice cutter technology. This includes a rotating cutter cutting against the stationary cutter plate reducing solids down to 1/8". The 200 Volt, 2 HP, Model 840 utilizes a vortex impeller. Every time the pump is called to run, the cutter assembly will pump a different direction as the previous rotation. This action reduces the potential of stringy material wrapping around the cutter assembly. The Shark Series J840 should use a control panel and control switches allowing it to turn the pump on when called upon. The Model 840 is constructed with a cast iron body, enabling it to withstand the most demanding sewage ejector applications. The pump's identification tag, handle, and hardware are made of high-quality stainless steel preventing rust and corrosion.
